CONSULTANT'S PROFILE

      RAY DUZAN
        Mr. Duzan is a former lead auditor in ASME Code and military/defense quality systems, which are precursors to, and the basis of the ISO 9001 quality management system standards. He has more than thirty years experience working with quality management systems such as ISO 9001, QS 9000, General Motors Targets for Excellence, Ford Q-101, Military Specification MIL-Q-9858, Military Specification MIL-I-45208, ASME Code and U.S. Navy NAVSHIPS 250-1500-1. Ray has led and/or participated in hundreds of audits/assessments.

       For the past twenty-nine years, he has been certified by the American Society for Quality as an ASQ-Certified Quality Engineer. As a Senior Member of the American Society for Quality, he has served on the executive board in several different capacities. Ray has a BS degree in Quality Assurance, and serving on the ASQ Education Committee has taught quality control courses for more than 10 years.    

       Specializing in ISO 9001, QS 9000 quality management systems, continuous improvement techniques, and technical writing, he has provided services to suppliers in such industries as automotive, aircraft, defense, transportation, medical and the appliance industries. Ray has written QS 9000 and ISO 9001 documentation, guided implementation, trained employees, conducted preliminary assessments, and has led client companies in achieving “registered” status.

       Specializing in continuous improvement, Ray has implemented Six Sigma techniques, Kaoru Ishikawa methods, customer satisfaction metrics, conventional SPC, Short Production Run SPC, Advanced Product Quality Planning, Production Part Approval Process, Potential Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Measurement Systems Analysis, and disciplined problem solving; and trained client personnel in these methods.

    Ray has special expertise in gage design concepts, calibration systems,  measurement system analysis methods, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.  Ray has provided services and training in these areas for client personnel.
